hyperdispensationalism: A radical form of dispensationalism that places the beginning of the church later than Pentecost—often during the ministry or imprisonment of Paul—and sharply separates Paul’s ministry from that of Jesus and the Twelve. Some forms deny that ordinances such as water baptism or the Lord’s Supper apply to the church today.
